MotionGrey began in the classrooms of the University of British Columbia (UBC), where two aspiring engineers, Andy and Alex, bonded over their passion for structure, engineering, and entrepreneurship.

The gap was clear: workspace health shouldn't be a luxury.
Determined to make a difference, they launched their first product-the Challenger gaming chair-to improve posture. But they soon realized proper sitting wasn't enough. Movement throughout the workday was key to lasting health and productivity. Standing desks were the answer, but most options were expensive and inaccessible.
